BROUGHTON RESERVE

Public BBQ

Tucked beside a gentle creek and conveniently positioned near the railway station, Broughton Reserve offers a pleasant respite from urban bustle. The compact green space features open lawns perfect for an impromptu picnic or leisurely stroll, particularly useful as a shortcut to the local library. While the reserve provides ample seating for visitors to pause and watch the creek meander past, the exposed nature of most benches means you'll want to time your visit carefully during summer months. It's the sort of unassuming neighbourhood gem that proves most valuable to commuters seeking a brief escape or families needing a quick outdoor break. The reserve's proximity to transport links makes it an ideal spot for a morning coffee before catching the train, though you might find yourself wishing the council had been more generous with shade trees when planning this otherwise charming pocket of greenery.
